Viking Drive Trail

The Project

The purpose of the Viking Drive Trail project – totaling roughly 1,500 linear feet of new bituminous trail – was to construct a new multi-use trail for users and to connect the gap between the newly constructed trail to the west and the intersection of Golden Triangle Drive. The main goal was to provide standard trail width for pedestrians and bicyclists, while minimizing the disturbed area and preserving the existing boulevard to minimize utility conflicts. By implementing strategic grading and alignments, the goal of minimizing the disturbed area and utility impacts was achieved.
