Lower Cedar Watershed Management Authority Watershed Planning Services

Background
FYRA Engineering was retained by the Lower Cedar Watershed Management Authority for watershed planning services. FYRA was responsible for project management, stakeholder/public engagement, water quality analysis, modeling, and implementation plan development for a 319-funded watershed plan for the Lower Cedar Watershed Management Authority.
Specific services have included data analysis, subwatershed prioritization, use of interactive online tools to inform stakeholders and obtain feedback during the COVID-19 pandemic, and initial stages of watershed plan development.
Detailed watershed assessments, including pollutant source modeling, were developed for three high priority HUC-12 watersheds. The plan was completed at the end of 2022.
