From watershed-scale water quality solutions to flood resilience and communicating engineering in the age of social media, our team is sharing their expertise at two upcoming Minnesota conferences.
Conference on the Environment
Drew Kessler will present “Developing a Watershed-Scale Framework for Phosphorus Offsets in the Red River Basin” at the 2026 Conference on the Environment held November 4 in Minneapolis, MN. This all-day conference brings together environmental professionals representing industry, consultants, government, and academia, in the areas of air quality, water quality, waste management, and regulators.

Minnesota Association of Floodplain Managers Conference
Our team will also be sharing two unique perspectives at the 2026 Minnesota Association of Floodplain Managers Conference (MNAFPM), held November 4–6 in Rochester, MN. This year’s theme is “Prescriptions for Flood Resilience,” with an agenda focused on topics such as hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain management, flood control projects, case studies, and mapping.
Presentation: When You Can’t “Be Kind, Rewind”: Modeling Restoration in a Highly Regulated System
Presenter: Lisa Odens
Presentation: From Rebar to Retweets: How Social Media Rewrites Engineering Reality
Presenters: Cait Caswell and Greg Thompson
Together, these presentations highlight the variety of challenges our team helps address, from understanding and managing complex water systems to communicating the realities of engineering with the communities we serve. We’ll also have a booth at this conference, so please stop by to visit with our team.
If you’re attending either conference, we hope you’ll catch one of our team’s presentations and connect with us!
