NordbyTony 01

Congratulations to Tony Nordby, who earned his place on Prairie Business magazine’s 40 Under 40 List in their December issue. Annually, Prairie Business magazine honors 40 exceptionally skilled, driven, and successful individuals across North Dakota, South Dakota, and the western region of Minnesota.

Tony is a highly skilled engineer who focuses on flood control projects, drainage improvement projects, channel restoration projects, and many other water resource-related tasks his watershed district clients look to him for in the Red River Basin. In the fall of 2022, he was named the new Office Manager for HEI’s Thief River Falls, Minnesota office, becoming one of the youngest at the firm to be named as such. This promotion is a testament to his leadership, responsibility, professional management skills, and the trust that the firm places in him. In this role, Tony is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office and supporting the overall goals of the company including administrative duties, operational management, project coordination, client and team engagement, and support for marketing and communications.

Currently for HEI, Tony is the client and project manager of four watershed districts, multiple county drainage projects, several soil and water conservation districts, and multiple other projects. As the Middle Snake Tamarac Rivers Watershed District client manager for the past 10 plus years, he is currently leading three capital improvement projects through planning, design, and into the construction phase of the process for flood control and stream restoration, along with all the day-to-day drainage repairs, permit review, and general engineering services.

Take a look at the 40 Under 40 article to discover more about Tony, and to explore the profiles of all the chosen individuals.

Congratulations, Tony!
