HEI Welcomes Four New Shareholders

Four professionals at HEI have recently been named shareholders: Luke Beckermann, Nic Cullen, Wes Keller, and Bennett Uhler.

Luke Beckermann

Luke Beckermann is a Civil Engineer with HEI’s Fargo team. Over his 14 years with HEI, Luke has performed duties as a design and construction engineer, specializing in transportation and hydraulic structures. He has followed projects from preliminary design through construction. Luke also leads HEI’s bridge inspection services, ensuring clients throughout the region have reliable and safe structures. Notably, Luke served as the Lead Design Engineer for Fargo’s 25th Street South Bridge Widening Project. Outside of work, Luke enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, playing sports, and spending time with his wife, Shannon; son, Micah; and daughter, Neeva.

Nic Cullen

Nic Cullen is a Civil Engineer in HEI’s Bismarck office. With over fifteen years of experience, Nic specializes in stormwater master planning; hydraulic modeling; floodplain management; and municipal, site, and land development. He has performed multiple floodplain and stormwater studies throughout North Dakota. Outside of work, Nic prioritizes spending time with his wife, Brittany, and their three children Emma (10), Caleb (6), and Karly (2). In his free time, Nic enjoys giving back by volunteering with various community organizations, traveling, skiing, snowboarding, and spending time on the Missouri River.

Wes Keller

Wes Keller is a Structural Design engineer with HEI’s Fargo team. Wes has more than 10 years of experience with HEI specializing in bridge and structure design. He holds a Master of Engineering in structures and brings extensive knowledge to his designs. Notably, Wes’s expertise can be seen on Thief River Falls’ Pennington County Projects, where Wes served as the Lead Bridge Design Engineer. Outside of work, Wes enjoys spending time with family and friends, his fiancé Randi, and their two dogs (Knox and Kendall). He also enjoys going to the lake, golfing, and cooking meals on his grill and smoker. Wes and Randi will be married in August 2024.

Bennett Uhler

Bennett Uhler is a Civil Engineer with HEI’s Fargo team. Bennett is experienced in stream restoration, ditch retrofits/repairs, and bank stabilization projects and, over the past decade, has worked on and lead a variety of projects for HEI in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Currently, Bennett serves in the role of District Engineer for the Buffalo-Red River Watershed District, overseeing multiple water resource projects. Outside of work, Bennett enjoys spending time with his wife, Alexis, and their two children Layla (4) and Nolan (2). He also enjoys being with friends, going snowboarding, and tackling home DIY projects.
