Cassidy Joins HEI

Katie Cassidy joins HEI as an Environmental Scientist in the Maple Grove office. Katie will help project managers with various biological, ecological, and limnological water quality and water resource projects. She will also assist with watershed planning and using data and information to identify solutions that address our client’s needs.

Originally from Bloomington, MN, Katie received her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Saint Louis University in 2019 and is expecting her master’s degree in water resources science from the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) this summer. While working on her master’s degree at UMD, Katie worked as a water resources center graduate fellow leading winter fieldwork to collect stormwater samples to research the impacts of an alternative deicer, analyzed samples using chromatography for a suite of water quality parameters, and synthesized data and interpreted results for stakeholders.
