Welcome, Vienne!

Vienne recently earned dual degrees in Geological Sciences and Environment, Sustainability, and Geography from the University of Minnesota Duluth. During her time there, she conducted advanced research in experimental petrology and served as a teaching assistant.

With a strong background in fieldwork, multiple technical certifications, and fluency in Spanish, Vienne brings a passion for delivering precise data and exceeding client expectations. Working as a Hydrogeologist, she’ll be based in our Maple Grove, MN, office. We’re thrilled to have her on board!

Fun Facts

What drew you to HEI, and what excites you most about joining our team?
I was drawn to HEI because of the type of work originally. I loved hydrogeology during my college years and was really excited by the thought of pursuing a career in it. Hydrogeology has always been a cool concept to me; seeing how water interacts with the world around it seen and unseen. When I applied, I scoured HEI’s website and I found the motivations behind the work to be honorable; something I could truly believe in – client-focused, committed to quality, and striving to be the ideal team player. Following my first interview, I purchased Patrick Lencioni’s “The Ideal Team Player.” I read it in the week leading up to my second interview and found that the qualities outlined in the book were what I was missing in my career: humble, hungry, and smart. After my second interview, I found that not only did I enjoy the prospect of the work but people as well. I am beyond excited to join this team not only because I get to do what I love but also because I get to work with great people.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy crocheting, watching movies, playing video games, and hanging out with my cat.

What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind after a busy day? Watching a really cheesy rom-com.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why? I would love to go to Spain. I think their history and architecture is incredible and would love to see it one day.

What’s your favorite snack? Raspberries.

What is your favorite fuel for staying energized (type of coffee, tea, energy drink, etc.)? Celsius Fizz-Free Blue Razz Lemonade.
