HEI is excited to welcome Jennica Hartman as a Senior Transportation Engineer in our Sioux Falls, SD, office. With more than 23 years of experience, Jennica has delivered complex transportation projects throughout South Dakota and beyond. Her expertise spans project management, roadway design, innovative intersection and interchange design, and stakeholder engagement, helping agencies and communities develop safe, efficient transportation solutions.
Jennica also brings extensive experience leading multidisciplinary projects in floodplain areas, where she develops creative solutions to address complex design and environmental challenges. Her collaborative approach and passion for transportation infrastructure make her a valuable addition to our team, helping connect communities and deliver meaningful improvements across the region.

Where did you grow up?
Lamar, CO.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Hawaii to explore, snorkel, and surf. I would also like to explore some of the ranches in Hawaii.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Anything active with my daughter. Horseback riding, skiing, paddleboarding, hiking, basketball, soccer…
What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind after a busy day?
Having dinner with my daughter, going for a walk.
What’s your favorite snack?
A breve with cocoa.
