Welcome Jonathon Andresen

AndresenCongratulations to Jonathon Andresen on transitioning from an intern to a full-time civil engineer! Jonathon began working as an engineering intern in the Fargo office and continues to be located there on the transportation team.

Originally from Foley, MN, he attended North Dakota State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

 

Fun Facts:

  • What drew you to HEI, and what excites you most about joining our team? Ideal location in Fargo and I’ve heard nothing but good things about HEI from people that work here.
  • What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
  • What is your favorite way to relax and unwind after a busy day? Cook a nice dinner and relax outside on the patio.
  • What’s your favorite snack? Doritos.
  • What is your favorite fuel for staying energized? Celsius or iced coffee.

Welcome Trever Austin

AustinCongratulations to Trever Austin on transitioning from an intern to a full-time civil engineer! Trever began working as an engineering intern in the Grand Forks office and is now part of the water resources team in the Bismarck office.

Originally from Minot, ND, he attended the University of North Dakota where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

  • What drew you to HEI, and what excites you most about joining our team? The team at Houston, getting to know the business and to better understand processes unique to the company.
  • What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Working out, hunting, working on motorcycles/cars.
  • What is your favorite way to relax and unwind after a busy day? Work on a personal project at home.
  • What’s your favorite snack? Jerky.
  • What is your favorite fuel for staying energized? Coffee.

Originally from Burlington, IA, he attended Drake University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science.

 

Fun Facts:

    • What drew you to HEI, and what excites you most about joining our team? I enjoyed the atmosphere and the people throughout my time as an intern. I also believe it’s a great place for me to grow and learn! It is exciting to work as a scientist while also being able to do design work/modeling!
    • What do you enjoy doing outside of work? I enjoy hunting, golfing (any sports really), traveling, and being with family.
    • Do you have any pets? Back home with my family I do! We have a Boston Terrier and a Boston Terrier/Pug.
    • Random fact about you? I have a twin sister.
    • What is your top bucket list destination? I would really like to visit Greece.

Originally from Omaha, NE, he attended the University of Nebraska Omaha where he earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering.

    • What are some of your hobbies? Pickleball, guitar, cooking, and hiking.
    • What is your most memorable vacation? Ireland, France, and Sicily for graduation.
    • What is your most memorable concert? King Gizz or Sturgill Simpson.
    • What are your favorite sports? Soccer and tennis.
    • What are you currently watching? Just finished Severance, working on Tires second season.
    • What inspired you about this career? I knew the projects I saw were something I wanted to be a part of, and the people I met were people I wanted to work with.

    • What are some of your hobbies? Working out, reading, and camping. 
    • What is your most memorable vacation? Traveling to Germany, Austria, and Croatia for my post-graduation trip!

    • What inspired you about this career? Being able to make a difference in the community around me and seeing how it can improve the quality of life.

    • What inspired you about this career? Learning about all the intricacies that go into designing and the purpose for each of those parts.
