Congratulations to Kelby Laxdal for earning a spot on Prairie Business magazine’s 40 Under 40 List for 2025. Each year, Prairie Business magazine recognizes 40 outstanding, dedicated, and successful individuals across North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Minnesota.
Kelby is a skilled engineer specializing in transportation design services for urban environments with more than 15 years of experience. He joined HEI in 2018 and works from our Grand Forks, ND, office. In the spring of 2023, he became a shareholder at HEI, a testament to his commitment to the company, exceptional work performance, and dedication to serving HEI’s clients. This achievement reflects HEI’s values of being an ideal team player: humble, hungry, and smart.
Outside of work, Kelby enjoys doing home improvement projects, working in his shop, building LEGO® with his daughters, and spending time with his family.
