Welcome Molly Forrester as a Full-Time Employee

Congratulations to Molly Forrester on transitioning from an intern to a full-time civil engineer! Molly began working as an engineering intern in the spring of 2024 and will be located in HEI’s Grand Forks office.

Molly performs engineering duties in planning, designing, providing construction observation, and maintaining civil projects such as roads and infrastructure. Her responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and environmental impact studies. Molly’s experience interning with both public and private entities has given her a unique insight into civil engineering.

Originally from Grand Forks, ND, she attended the University of North Dakota where she earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Welcome Rob Goff as a Full-Time Employee

Congratulations to Rob Goff on transitioning from an intern to a full-time survey technician! Rob most recently worked as a technician intern in the summer of 2023 and will be located in HEI’s Fargo office.

Rob Goff serves clients as survey technician, assisting on survey projects across the Upper Midwest. He is familiar with boundary surveying, preliminary surveys to be used in civil design, construction staking, and as-built post construction surveys.

Originally from Fargo, ND, he attended North Dakota State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in natural resource management.

  • Hobbies: Golfing, hunting, fishing, and hiking.
  • Pets: Owns a cocker spaniel named Britta.
  • Most Memorable Place Visited: Elk City, ID.

Rob Goff

Welcome Reece Groth as a Full-Time Employee

Congratulations to Reece Groth on transitioning from an intern to a full-time civil engineer! Reece began working as a technician intern in HEI’s Bismarck office in the summer of 2023 and will now be located in the Fargo office.

Reece helps create of a variety of administrative and technical documents, including reports, plans, schedules, and environmental impact assessments that are essential for obtaining project permits and regulatory approvals. Additionally, he uses CAD and other technical software to produce engineering and design documents and provides fundamental project designs.

Originally from Mayville, ND, he attended the University of North Dakota where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

    • Hobbies: Golf, snow skiing, going to the lake
    • Pets: Three dogs n Scottish Terrier, a Scottish Terrier, and a Mini Goldendoodle.
    • Most Memorable Vacation: Big Sky Montana.

    • What inspired you about this career? Being able to design a project and see it be completed from start to finish. Engineering is a well-respected profession. My brother is also a civil engineer, which got me interested in the field in the first place.
    • What do you love about your community? I come from a local community and I love it because you really get to know every person on a personal level, which makes the community feel closer together.
