Patrick Johanneck earns PLS

Congratulations to Patrick Johanneck for earning his Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license for North Dakota!

Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in land surveying from St. Cloud State University and is also a licensed PLS in Minnesota. He has been part of HEI for more than 10 years, delivering survey expertise for transportation, site development, water resources, and much more. Patrick is based in our Fargo, ND, office.

Fun Facts

What is the farthest survey location you’ve traveled to?
The furthest project I worked on was at the Northwest Angle of Minnesota, which is on the Canadian border and about 260 miles from HEI’s Fargo office.

Why do you like survey work?
Surveying can be challenging, but it can also be a rewarding job. No two projects are exactly alike, and you get to work with advanced equipment and software daily.

Why do you like working at HEI?
The people that I get to work with and the variety of projects that I get to work on.

How do you like to spend your free time?
In my free time, I like spending time with my family, hunting, fishing, and camping.
