We are pleased to announce that Christina Traner, an environmental scientist in our Maple Grove, MN, office, has recently earned her Certified Minnesota Wetland Professional (CMWP) credential from the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources. The certification recognizes professionals with advanced knowledge of wetland science and Minnesota’s regulatory framework.
Christina joined HEI in 2023, bringing more than a decade of experience in watershed management, environmental permitting, water quality, and natural resource projects throughout Minnesota. She has contributed to watershed planning efforts, stream restoration projects, wetland delineations, and permitting work for a variety of public- and private-sector clients.
The Minnesota Wetland Professional Certification Program requires extensive training in wetland identification, delineation, restoration, and state regulatory requirements. Earning the credential demonstrates a strong understanding of Minnesota wetlands and the processes for evaluating impacts and supporting regulatory compliance.
At HEI, Christina has applied this knowledge to projects across the state, helping clients navigate environmental considerations and permitting requirements. Her work includes the Trout Brook Stream Restoration Project, which was recognized as the 2023 Minnesota Watershed Project of the Year, along with numerous watershed, restoration, and natural resource initiatives throughout Minnesota.
Christina’s achievement reflects her commitment to professional growth and expands the expertise available to our clients in environmental permitting, watershed management, and natural resource services.
