Welcome Sam Trebilcock to HEI

Sam Trebilcock joins the HEI team as a Transportation Planner in our Sioux Falls, SD, office. Originally from Aberdeen, this lifetime South Dakota resident attended South Dakota State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in geography and political science. He also has a master’s degree in public administration from the University of South Dakota. He has 32 years of professional planning experience and was previously a Transportation Planner for the City of Sioux Falls.

  • Hobbies: Running and bicycling.
  • Family: I’m married, and we have a daughter and a son.
  • Pets: A dog and a cat.
  • Special Skill: Juggling.
  • Most Memorable Vacation: Family trip to 1976 Montreal Olympics.
  • Top Destination on Bucket List: Cornwall, England (Trebilcock is Cornish).
  • Favorite Food: Cornish pasty (meat and potato pie).
  • Favorite Movie: Star Wars. 
  • Favorite Sports: Basketball and track and field.
  • Favorite Season: Fall.
  • Currently Watching: Football and basketball season.
  • What do you love about your community? I love the bike trails in Sioux Falls.
