Welcome Janel Brandt to HEI

Janel Brandt joins the HEI team as a Civil Construction Technician in our Minot, ND, office. Originally from Willow City, ND, she has extensive experience running geotechnical testing and analysis as well as geosteering for various clients. Janel will review project specifications, complete CAD drawings, and coordinate with civil engineers on plans, acceptance testing, designs, and field conditions.

  • Hobbies: Trying to make my house functional. I think it was the first original “tiny house” before tiny houses were a thing! Constantly remodeling and improving.
  • Pets: I have a registered Selkirk Rex Kitten who insists on being treated like royalty.
  • Most Memorable Vacation: Rome
  • Top Destination on Bucket List: Revisiting Italy
  • Favorite Season: Summer, because there is more sun, and I am “solar powered”!
  • Currently Reading: The Deep Hot Biosphere: The Myth of Fossil Fuels by Thomas Gold. Absolutely fascinating!
