Thomas Eskro joins HEI as a Civil Engineer from Aberdeen, SD. He will be working with the HEI water resources team on a variety of projects, ensuring designs meet federal, city, and Department of Transportation specifications. Thomas will also oversee engineering analyses, schedules, reports, and direct the preparation of various project documents. Originally from Andover, MN, Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University.

What drew you to HEI, and what excites you most about joining our team? I worked for HEI from 2012-2018 before moving to South Dakota. HEI is full of intelligent and hardworking people who tackle challenging projects for our clients. I am excited to return to HEI as a remote employee and continue my engineering career here!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Being with my wife and five daughters! Also reading, listening to podcasts, tackling projects around the house, cooking, watching sports, and volunteering at church and in the community.
What’s your favorite way to relax and unwind after a busy day? A choice beverage with my wife. Perhaps a good book or TV show.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Probably some kind of Western Europe tour: London, Paris, Rome, Munich, etc., to see the history and cultural roots of the West.
