The beautiful, sunny weather on June 6 made for great golfing conditions for HEI's 6th annual
Teeing It Up for the Red Cross golf tournament held in Bismarck, ND.
The tournament was led by HEI's Bismarck office in partnership with the
American Red Cross Dakotas Region to raise funds for their organization. The 25 golf teams fueled up for the day with tasty grilled food provided by
Border States and
Jeff's Outboards & Service during the registration process. Then participants enjoyed a sunny day on the course while competing for prizes during the 18-hole scramble held at Apple Creek Country Club.
Several contests were held throughout the course, one grand prize being a brand new car sponsored by Kupper Subaru if a participant landed a hole-in-one. There was also a cheeky heckler roaming the course played by Bismarck Mayor and HEI's Business Development Manager Mike Seminary, who would taunt and tease the teams until they paid the pest to leave. After the tournament, participants enjoyed a dinner banquet and award ceremony. Special thanks to our event sponsor, MDU Resources Group, and media sponsor, KFYR-TV West Dakota Fox, for their contributions to the success of this event.
The winning teams for this year's tournament:
- 1st Place - First International Bank & Trust
- 2nd Place - North Dakota National Guard
- 3rd Place - GA Group

You can view more information and photos on the event's Facebook Page.
Thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible!
HEI's annual golf tournament started in 2011 to benefit the American Red Cross Dakotas Region after the devastating floods in central North Dakota that affected Minot, Bismarck, Mandan, and the surrounding communities. HEI has since then continued to partner with the Red Cross to raise funds to provide shelter, food, supplers, and basic necessities to benefit local communities in the Dakotas region.
