Congratulations to Kristen Lotvedt for being featured in
Prairie Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 list for 2020! Published on December 4, this list recognizes the northern Plains’ top 40 business professionals under the age of 40 from a variety of industries for their hard work within the business world as well as in their community. More than 100 nominations were submitted this year, making it an impressive list to be a part of.
Kristen was recognized for her leadership in the design and construction of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project (MREFPP) in Minot, ND. She is a key leader in ensuring the right protections and investments are made in this multimillion-dollar effort. This project began after the historic 2011 flood destroyed homes, displaced residents, and crippled businesses in Minot. Altogether, the flood caused more than $690 million in damages for the Minot community. Once it is completed, the MREFPP will remove about 60% of Minot’s residents from the floodplain.
Her service efforts don’t end after the workday. Kristen has actively given back to her community through STEM programs for youth, donating more than four gallons of blood since 2011, and getting her daughters involved in volunteering opportunities.
