The
Red River Joint Water Resource District has presented Zach Herrmann with its 2020 Steamboat Award. Zach, who works in HEI's Fargo office, was honored December 10 during the 57th annual Joint North Dakota Water Convention, held virtually due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Steamboat Award is given annually for distinguished service of water resources management in the Red River watershed in North Dakota.
Zach is a project manager and principal who specializes in assisting water resource districts to identify, establish strategies for, and implement water management solutions throughout North Dakota. He has considerable experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of the Red River Basin using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS. Zach served in a key technical role for several modeling efforts in the Red River Basin, including the development of standardized hydrologic models and the Halstad Upstream Retention Study.
