Three professionals at HEI have become new shareholders: Kristen Lotvedt, Dennis McAlpine, and Brian Pattengale.

Kristen Lotvedt
Kristen Lotvedt is a civil engineer and part of HEI's Fargo team. Kristen's day-to-day work revolves around flood control, giving her a deep appreciation for the importance of these services to our clients. Her experience has played an integral role in extremely complex flood control projects, such as the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project. Kristen’s ambitious spirit spreads beyond her work to other areas. She constantly seeks out new ways to give back to her community, from volunteering for STEM programs aimed at inspiring young thinkers to donating more than four gallons of blood since 2011. She even seeks out volunteer opportunities where she and her daughters can work alongside each other to make a difference.

Dennis McAlpine
Dennis McAlpine is a civil engineer and part of HEI's Maple Grove team. With his unique background, Dennis supports a variety of civil design and construction projects ranging from water resources to solid waste management. He is passionate about helping clients realize long-term, cost-effective solutions to challenging problems. When he isn't working, Dennis finds joy in following any and all forms of auto racing, most notably NASCAR, and supporting the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Wild in their continual quest to let everyone down. Dennis enjoys tinkering on all things automotive in his garage and spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children, Delton (11) and Iila (2).

Brian Pattengale
Brian Pattengale is part of HEI's Fargo team and serves as the go-to civil engineer for numerous developers in the Red River Valley. From commercial sites to residential developments, Brian provides the civil insights necessary to ensure that our clients’ new developments have the drainage, utilities, parking, and other features they need to successfully serve their intended purposes. Outside of work, Brian enjoys camping, trap and target shooting, and spending time with his children, Henry and Eva, and his wife, Michelle.
