HEI raised funds for prostate cancer awareness month by participating with the No-Shave November organization. This is the second year of the fundraiser and this year we had a record of 48 individuals participating/donating from all our offices. As a result, employee contributions and HEI donated a total of $1,600!
To make things extra fun, participants could elect to be part of a voting contest among their hairy peers to receive prizes in three categories: the Lumberjack (fullest/thickest beard), the Picasso (abstract/patchy beard), and the Duck Dynasty (longest beard). The winners received a gift card to the Dollar Shave Club.
No-Shave November is a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. The goal is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.
