HEI had another great year at the
Environmental Initiative Awards ceremony recognizing the work of Minnesota professionals who are contributing to environmental improvement and awareness. HEI was proud to be an event sponsor and also sponsored the award for "Environmental Education," which HEI's Larry Kramka presented.

The award went to "Race 2 Reduce" who engages White Bear Lake youth on water conservation. Several of our staff from our Maple Grove and Thief River Falls office hosted and shared a table with Waste Management as we enjoyed Frank Vascellaro of WCCO-TV emceeing the event. Although we didn't take home a prize, we were proud to be recognized as a finalist in the Natural Resources category for the
Grand Marais Creek Restoration Project for the Red Lake Watershed District.
