Houston Engineering, Inc. (HEI) is proud to announce the addition of three employees as company shareholders: Zach Herrmann, Alan Kemmet, and Joe Lewis. All serve critical roles that have aided in the success of HEI.
Since 2008, Zach, PE, has been a civil engineer in HEI's Fargo office. Zach’s work at HEI is primarily assisting water resource districts and watershed districts to identify, establish strategies for, and implement water management solutions in the Red River Basin. His duties at HEI include serving as a client manager for various Water Boards and providing project management for water resources projects. Outside of work, Zach enjoys anything that involves being outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, hunting, or running his dogs, you’ll likely find him hard at it during the appropriate time of year.
Alan, PE, has been a civil engineer in HEI's Bismarck office since 2008. Alan has extensive experience as a design and construction engineer, specializing in water treatment process, pipeline, and pump station design. His duties at HEI include project management, design, and construction contract administration for numerous projects at water treatment facilities in North Dakota. Outside of work, Alan is an avid golfer and enjoys hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife Amber and children Seth and Jake.
Since 2004, Joe, PE, CFM, has been a civil engineer with HEI starting in Fargo and transferring to Maple Grove in 2006. Joe performs duties as a design engineer and project manager with a focus in water resources. His project experience includes floodplain management, water quality issues, hydrologic modeling, land development review, municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4) permit planning, and GIS and terrain analysis. Always looking to integrate GIS and web technology with engineering, Lewis’ vision led to HEI’s web software product MS4Front. Outside of work, Joe enjoys running, biking, home brewing and spending time with his wife Tara and their three kids.
Congrats Zach, Alan, and Joe!
