Congratulations to Kiah Sagami and Alex Schmidt on recently graduating from the Dale Carnegie Course earlier this month. In addition, Alex was recognized with the Human Relations Award for demonstrating clarity for his presentation on how to plan a trip to the Boundary Waters. “I must thank my Houston colleagues for giving me the presentation idea at lunch!” states Alex.
Dale Carnegie is a well-respected training organization that educates professionals across all industries on how to become stronger leaders and effective communicators. HEI has been offering training opportunities with Dale Carnegie since 2018 and has had more than 20 participants.

“The course reinforced the good things I am already doing, but also showed me a lot of new good things. I think it is super helpful right now especially since many of us are working from home and being able to communicate effectively is a lot more difficult. When you can’t see a person’s face and reactions you must stop, think, and really listen to what they are saying. I have been using many of the principles that were taught as of late because of the current situation. The course has also grown my confidence in my communication skills. It taught me to be an advocate for myself and help me present myself and my ideas with confidence. I hope to take what I have learned and share with anyone who is willing to listen. Communication is always the key.”

“I’d like to thank HEI for the opportunity to participate in the Dale Carnegie class. It was a stretching experience that will pay dividends in my professional career. If you want to increase your communication skills this class will not only give you tools but push you to practice and exercise what you are learning.”
