Melissa Benda joins HEI as an HR Generalist and while she is located in our Fargo office, she will work with all offices. As an HR Generalist, Melissa will be working with all facets of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, benefit administration, and more.
A Little About Melissa
Melissa is originally from Dawson, MN, and earned her BS degree in business from North Dakota State University. Her previous employers include The Village Family Service Center as an HR Generalist and Assistant and U.S. Bank as an HR Business Partner. She brings more than seven years of experience in the HR field to her role at HEI.

- Hobbies: gardening, spending time outside, and working on small DIY projects
- Family/Pets: married to husband Jeff with their 1-year-old daughter, Lucia, and black lab, Grace
- Fun Facts: she loves to travel and has ziplined, parasailed, and even flown a plane
