This project, located in Thief River Falls, MN, was recognized with this award during the ACEC/MN Awards Gala on February 25. HEI's David Johnson, pictured above in front of the project poster, accepted the award on behalf of HEI's team and the Pennington County Highway Department. HEI is proud to have been part of this project.

HEI was the primary consultant with the role of planning, surveying, environmental processing, preliminary and detailed design of the roadway, roundabouts, and bridge for a new corridor connection on CSAH 8.

The Pennington County CSAH 8 New South Side Corridor was a multi-contract project that included a roundabout on Trunk Highway (TH) 32, a roundabout at the junction of CSAH 17 and CSAH 8, and a new bridge connecting a new 0.9-mile urban roadway corridor over the Red Lake River.
