Location: Halstad, Minnesota
Client: City of Halstad
In the late 1980s, the concept of the Northwest Area Water Supply (NAWS) began. Since that time, HEI and our partners at MWH Global (now part of Stantec) have provided a host of professional services to move the concept forward to a reality.
Major precipitation events had caused flash flood and significant runoff in the Duluth area and along Sargent Creek. In many places, slopes were washed out, trees were uprooted, and unstable ground was created. HEI was gathered drone imagery and data of the area to help document the extent of the damages and provide insight into what repairs would be needed.
To enable continuous operation of the Minot landfill, the City was required to begin preparations for construction of a new cell within the landfill.
